The chair or set of chairs
We start with finding chairs that are in need of a creative rebirth. They must be upholstered chairs because the upholstery will become the canvas. If you already own a chair (or set of chairs) that you would like revamped, just send us some pictures and we’ll let you know if they’ll work. Or if you have a particular style in mind, you can send us some reference pictures and we’ll find something for you. One thing to note is that various fabrics respond differently to the painting process, and some might not work at all. If the fabric has a heavily textured pattern, that texture will still exist and should be considered as we design.
The design
If you have a specific theme and color palette in mind, we’d love to work with you to create something custom. Just send us some reference pics of what you’re thinking and we can collaborate with you on the design. Once we have the chair, we’ll mock up some design ideas and send them to you for your review and approval. Just keep in mind that the art will evolve. The design is just a rough idea for a starting point.
The cost
The price of the chair depends on the intensity of the project. Repair work adds to the time & cost. Certain fabrics take more coats of paint than others. And the complexity of the design affects the cost. On average, it takes 4 to 6 weeks for a custom order, and the price ranges between $750-$1,500.
